What is the Data Analytics Minor?

The minor in data analytics addresses the knowledge, skills, and ability to answer data-driven questions within a student's discipline or industry.

Why study Data Analytics At UNH College of Professional Studies?

Students will have the opportunity to prepare data for analysis, draw conclusions based on data, and present the results of data analysis.

Curriculum & Requirements

The minor in data analytics addresses the knowledge, skills, and ability to answer data-driven questions within a student's discipline or industry. Students will have the opportunity to prepare data for analysis, draw conclusions based on data, and present the results of data analysis.
 
NOTE: This minor may not be declared with the following majors: BS Business Management: Data Analytics or BS Computer Information Technology: Data Analytics.
 
Students will have the opportunity to:
1. Utilize the data analytics process to address industry-specific challenges.
2. Practice data mining, cleaning, and visualization techniques.
3. Define ethical and legal issues related to data analytics.

All minor courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C-, and a 2.0 grade point average must be maintained in courses for the minor. Two courses must be at the upper level (600 or 700). Only 8 credits may overlap between major and minor.
