New Opportunity for Early College Courses Online
As a school counselor, you play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of your students. You help them discover
opportunities, explore possibilities, and take their first steps toward success. UNH Early College Online, in
partnership with VLACS, gives motivated high school students the chance to experience college-level learning,
earn valuable credits, and build confidence—before they even graduate.

What is UNH Early College Online?
UNH Early College Online is a dual enrollment program designed for motivated high school students who want to challenge themselves with college coursework. These fully online courses provide a flexible learning experience, allowing students to explore subjects of interest while earning transferable college credits.

Why Should You Encourage Your Students to Enroll in Early College?
Students can jump-start their degree by earning four (4) transferable UNH college credits per course. Students may earn up to 28 credits through Early College.
With a variety of subjects available, students can dive into coursework that aligns with their interests and career goals.
Through our partnership with the NH Department of Education and VLACS, students only pay $150 which includes instructional materials—making college more affordable than ever (this represents a savings of $1170 per course at the regular UNH CPS tuition rate)!
Early exposure to college-level expectations helps students develop academic skills and confidence, making their transition to college smoother. Students will also benefit from greater flexibility in their college course schedule when they begin with previously earned early college credits.
How Does It Work?
Students must meet these criteria to enroll in Early College Online courses through UNH CPS in partnership with VLACS:
Homeschool students aged 15 or older are also eligible
Complete courses before turning 21 years old
Have not yet earned a high school diploma
Not be expelled from a school or diploma-granting program
Create a VLACS student account (required for funding and enrollment)* Visit VLACS
IMPORTANT: Students who do not create a VLACS account will not receive high school credit and will be charged full tuition for a UNH College of Professional Studies course.
