Granite State College is pleased to announce its recognition among the “Best Online Programs” nationwide, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 rankings. As one of the four institutions that comprise the University System of New Hampshire, Granite State College was recognized for its long-term investment in designing and scaling student services, technologies, curricula, and instructor training to support student success.

Statement from Tara Payne, Vice President of Enrollment at Granite State College:
“Granite State College is proud of its strong reputation for supporting the goals of working adult students. Offering high-quality and affordable online programs is critical to achieving our mission. These rankings from U.S. News & World Report powerfully illustrate to current and future students the value of a Granite State College education.”

The primary goal of the rankings is to aid prospective students in researching the strongest online programs. A competitive pool consisting of 1,728 online programs was assessed for academic quality – a record high for U.S. News & World Report.

Granite State College is ranked #35 for “Best Online Master’s in Business (non-MBA) for Veterans,” #51 for “Best Online Bachelor’s for Veterans,” #87 for “Best Online Bachelor’s,” and #87 for “Best Online Master’s in Business (non-MBA).” Rankings are based on several categories, including student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, and affordability. For graduate business programs, student excellence and expert opinion are also considered.

Sgt. Sean Eaton, of Swanzey, N.H., is currently working toward his Bachelor’s in Public Administration at Granite State College. A husband and father of two, Eaton balances his education with working full time as a New Hampshire State Trooper.

“There’s growing complexity in law enforcement work,” Eaton said. “That won’t change. This profession is demanding. It requires adaptability, agility, and empathy to do it well. Continuous learning is something I’m committed to.”

Granite State College has been a leader in online education in New Hampshire for nearly 20 years. Since the inception of U.S. News and World Report’s online rankings in 2012, Granite State College has consistently held a competitive top position. More than 3,000 students enroll at Granite State annually and all students engage in online courses to complete degree programs.
