Tri Alpha & Alpha Sigma Lambda Honors Society Inductees Recognized for Academic Excellence

UNH College of Professional Studies (Online and Manchester) celebrated the achievements of two outstanding groups of student honorees: Tri Alpha & Alpha Sigma Lambda. During the virtual induction, 40 students were given honor cords and pins for commencement. 

In its inaugural year, Tri Alpha recognizes the academic achievements of first-generation college students. Eligible students are the first in their family to earn a bachelor’s degree. Inductees are also enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree, have completed at least 30 credits, is enrolled at least half time, and maintained a minimum 3.2 GPA. Tri Alpha honor cords are blue and grey. 

Alpha Sigma Lambda recognizes the special achievements of adult students who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work. The Society fosters academic excellence, promotes degree completion, encourages leadership, and empowers members to lead and support their peers and communities.
