Granite State College is celebrating the recent accreditation of its online nursing programs from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This mark of distinction ensures the quality and integrity of the College’s nursing programs, certifying that they adhere to the highest national standards of education.

“Our CCNE accreditation affirms our mission to prepare registered nurses to meet the dynamic health care needs of diverse populations while working in collaborative and evidence-based environments. We are proud of this accomplishment and our ability to provide students with the highest quality nursing education,” said Teresa Knight, Director of Nursing Programs at Granite State College.

The recent accreditation granted 10-year accreditation to the College’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and 5-year accreditation to the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Each program offers an innovative curriculum focused on relevant, meaningful, and high-quality nursing education and practices. Granite State College was recently named among the nation’s best online bachelor’s programs by U.S. News & World Report, which adds another level of value for nurses who purposely seek out online learning as a way to balance their nursing career with academics, and other important priorities.

To become accredited by CCNE, nursing programs must demonstrate that the program meets the organization’s standards of quality through an extensive review. CCNE accreditation supports and encourages continuing self-assessment by nursing programs and supports continuing growth and improvement of collegiate professional education.
